Hiring should go both ways.

Check the advert. Match your CV. Hold companies to account.

Tell us what happened after you applied. Your experience contributes to the company’s candidate rating and helps the next person.

Whether you’re deciding if a role is worth applying for or checking how candidates may see your advert, tevola shows the signals that matter — and what comes next.

What we look for

  • Unnamed or unverifiable employers
  • Requests for ID documents or bank details
  • Pay that doesn't match the role
  • Off-platform contact via WhatsApp or Telegram
  • Forms collecting far more data than needed
  • Evergreen "talent pool" adverts that never close

Company ratings are calculated, not voted. Once you've applied, you tell us what happened — whether they replied, how long it took, how it ended, whether you were given a real reason, and how they handled your personal details — including whether they destroyed them when asked, as POPIA requires. A fixed formula turns those answers into each company's score. No star ratings, no AI opinion.

Turning the tables on hiring

Tevola doesn't just flag fake job adverts — it changes who has to prove what. For too long, candidates have had to prove they're good enough for companies and recruitment agencies. Here, it's the other way around: companies and agencies prove to candidates that they're genuinely there to help them find work.

A rating is never a life sentence. Every reply, every honest rejection reason, and every confirmed destruction of candidate data moves a company's score up. Companies that treat applicants well can — and do — improve their ratings over time.
